Yesterday marked the start of both the 16th Belgian Organic Synthesis Symposium (BOSS) and the 21st International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysts (ISHC). Both events will be running through Friday, July 13th.
The BOSS XVI conference covers a wide range of modern organic synthesis themes including asymmetric synthesis, organocatalysis, organometallic chemistry and catalysis, photocatalysis, and much more. The lectures offered at this event will be delivered by a combination of young , enterprising up-and-coming chemists and established experts in the organic chemistry field. Prof. Dean Toste of UC Berkely, recipient of the Janssen Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry, will be giving a lecture on Organic Reactions Inspired by the Organometallic Chemistry of Gold tomorrow evening.
