On Monday, August 14th, Strem Chemicals welcomed visitors from Silpakorn University in Thailand. The group, composed of Associate Professor Dr. Nantanit Wanichacheva and four of her Ph.D. students, toured Strem’s facilities to gain first-hand knowledge about the organization and work processes within a chemical company. After the tour, owner and president, Dr. Michael Strem, and our CEO, Dr. Ephraim Honig were happy to meet with Prof. Wanichacheva and the students to offer more insight about the company’s history and their own experiences within the chemical industry.
The students’, Mr. Anuwut Petdum, Mr. Nirawit Kaewnok, Miss Panida Praikaew and Miss Pornthip Piyanuch, have been greatly enjoying their visit to the state and are spending their time exploring New England, eating our famous “lobstah”, and also visiting Niagara Falls in New York. The trip has been funded by local Thailand organizations, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project (DPST), and the Royal Golden Jubilee (RGJ) Ph.D. Program. Next week these students will be presenting their research at the 256th ACS National Meeting in Boston.
Be sure to stop by and see their work and also visit our booth #2512
