Metal Catalysts for Organic Synthesis - Including Organocatalysts

For over forty-five years Strem Chemicals as been providing metal catalysts for synthetic organic chemistry research and fine chemical production.

They provide pathways to both chiral and achiral products. For many of these items, Strem is the first and only commercial supplier. Our complete line of metal-containing homogeneous catalysts and organocatalyst products are presented in this brochure. Many are available in multi-kg quantities. The references contained in the brochure are regularly updated.

MOCVD, CVD and ALD Precursors

Since 1964 Strem has been manufacturing inorganic and organometallic chemicals. This broad-based experience has allowed us to expand our product offering of MOCVD, CVD and ALD precursors. We are continually adding new products for this dynamic and exciting field. Our range of products are presented in this brochure (sorted by key element).

Nanomaterials

Since 1964, Strem Chemicals, Inc. has been providing fine chemicals for research as well as for commercial production. In 2004 Strem started manufacturing nanomaterials and now offers a range of products including clusters, colloids, particles, powders and magnetic fluids of a variety of metals. These are manufactured by a variety of wet chemical means under patented processes. High purity precursors for nanomaterial synthesis are also available.

Other Ligands

Since 1964, Strem Chemicals, Inc. has been providing fine chemicals for research as well as for commercial production. From our earliest beginnings we have provided a range of ligands. This booklet focuses on Carbon-, Nitrogen- and Oxygen-donor ligands as well as a few others. Ligands include monodentate, multidentate, achiral and chiral ligands, some commercially available only from Strem. Phosphorus-based ligands appear in their own booklet. Any multi-dentate ligand containing a P-donor (eg aminophosphines) ONLY appears in the Phosphorus Ligands booklet.

Phosphorus Ligands and Compounds

Since 1964, Strem Chemicals, Inc. has been providing fine chemicals for research as well as for commercial production. From our earliest beginnings we have provided a range of phosphorus based ligands. We have continued to expand our offering as new applications have been found for this class of compounds. These include monodentate, multidentate, achiral and chiral ligands, some commercially available only from Strem.

PURATREM™

Since 1964, Strem Chemicals, Inc. has been providing fine chemicals for research as well as for commercial production. For many years we have offered high purity inorganics and in 1988 officially launched the “PURATREM” line. These products have a minimum purity of 99.99% (metals basis) and are presented in this booklet. They also appear in our catalog and on our web site.
